I'm trying to find someone that makes a '50 Mercury "lead sled" kit. I seem to remember seeing one that fit on a Caprice frame, but I can't find anything on this anymore. Thoughts?

Try Gene Winfield out of Mojave , Calif . He is one of the older names connected with custom cars .Winfields Rod & Customs 661-824-4728 . Google his name,the guy has made history .

Winfield really is a living legend, but I don't think he makes a kit for Mercs

oh yea,the last story was written by nick whitlow dated 2006 .the one before that was in rod and custome written by dick martin .then gary willoughby wrote in www.bladezone.com some time in 2002 .each one talks about "early merc's completely in fiberglass ."

There is a chopped replica 49 Merc on EBay under kitcars and replicas.
