does any1 know if i imported a car from canada 2 the us and its not emissions legal. if i took out the motor, trany, and harnes culd i register it as a kit car and make it street legal

i have heard of people doing this with Nissan Skylines from Japan, they ship the motor and car in two seperate containers then build them here, but i do not know what the legal aspect of doing such a thing is

When you import a rolling chassis from Canada to the US, you just remove the engine and tranny. It is considered a bunch of auto parts. Install your drivetrain in the US and you're legal.
