Hello, I'm not really a kit car guy usually, but I've got this great little daily driver that will soon become redundant. I hate to just throw her away, but the body is getting bad and she's not worth much for resale. I know that at one time lots of kit cars used the complete floorpan and whatnot from a Volkswagen Beetle. Is there anything comparable on the market using the Escort as a donor? I'd love a fuel-efficient little two-seater styled like the Porsche 356 or something.

I've never seen anything using a ford escort, but who know's there could be something out there.

Dave,
The annual Buyer's Guide will be included with the September issue of KIT CAR. If any company provides a kit that would work with an Escort as a donor, they'd be listed in the Buyer's Guide. Check it out, when it hits newsstands on July 31. Or, if you're a subscriber, you'll get your copy in the mail around about the same time.
Best,
Brian

A kit could change up the reliability of the escort, you might want to try using a different donor if you want to get into the kit car.
