hi everyone, new comer to the site today, i bought a countach kit car a week ago, it is mostley done but i am in need of a starter motor, the engine is a ford V6 with a renult 21 gearbox and converter to join the two, but what starter do i need, one that goes with the engine or the gearbox, any help would be appreciated, cheers phil.  

The starter is usually for the engine, not the gearbox. Which V6 ford are you using?  

i think it is an essex or the one out of a capri, cortina, granada, i know its looks like an old one.
