What is your first memory of a car that got you hooked?

I guess it would be a 53 Henry J.  Back in 54-55 they were on the way out, dealer for this one parked one front wheel up on a railroad tie, popped the hood a notch to make it look ratty and had $300 on it. The idea was to make it look bad and cheap, so he could sell his lot full of Fords and Chevrolets.  njm,. I was getting by with a 41 Willys Americar fourdoor at the time. Henry J was a six cyl OD, 3k miles on it, still smelled new.  I fell in love with it and had it for quite a few years, replaced it with a 53 Kaiser Manhattan.  Worked up to a Kaiser Darrin, fiberglass sports car with sliding doors.  Chev Corvette copied the idea, it worked well for them.
