I am still trying to find the best value in a car lift. My garage is crowed with three cars and a wood working shop. I want to put a car in the air so that I can get it out of the way and work on them easier. There are a lot of hobby lifts out there but some are not worth the effort. "Back Yard Buddy" seems to be the best but it is also expensive. Any Suggestions are highly being appreciated.
Thanks

Hello.  I can help you.  If it is value that you want, you can find imported lifts from China simply by searching the Internet for car lifts or autohoists.com.  The price range can be anywhere from $1,399 on up to $5,000 for a 7K four post lift or 9K two post lift.

As for quality, the imported lifts vary in the quality of the steel and the quality of the workmanship.  I've personally been to China and have visited many of these factories, and trust me, there are some lifts that I wouldn't put my Yorkshire under.

I would recommend purchasing American made or from a reputable company such as Mohawk, Stertil-Koni, Rotary and American Custom Lifts at aclifts.com.

If you have any further questions or need any information, brochures, etc., please feel free to contact our office at 888.711.5438.

Best regards,

Brad

Wish I had your problem... Got 3 cars but no garage I have a friend that has a lift, but, I am not sure the brand. I will try and get the make, and model next time I talk to him. But yes I can suggest you to look out for some options available on net. I was told that Garage Parking Lift are performance is quite good.

Since you mentioned a home garage being your workspace, you may want to check out the EZ carlift.  Let me know if that is what type of lift you had i mind.  This product seems to be a little pricey, however in comparison, worth the dollars.

Man I was just thinking about how useful it would be to have a lift, but unfortunately I rent, so no lift anywhere in the future for me. I can just imagine how much easier changing wheels and even oil changes would be.
