I have some experice with cars and would like to build a car with my 15 year old boys.  Money is not really the issue.  They are very excited to do this but I am not sure what kit is the best.  I have seen allot of them on the net but would rather get direction from someone that has been down this route.  Looking for something more like a dune buggy for off-road.  Appreciate any advice.  Thanks Mitch  

Well, if it were me, I would probably go for something off beat and not too expensively complicated to sustain the boys interest thru completion.  What comes to mind is the old Gazelle or a Bradley.  Loads of them around, price is low, finished product is acceptable, and if something gets goofed up in the building, no big deal.  These are not available new of course, so finding one that is still incomplete is easy yet.  I found my dream car brand new, still in the unopened boxes, had sat in the guys garage for 22 years until he died.
