Back in the early '80s, I recall seeing a 90-degree V-twin motorcycle engine that used SBC pistons, rods, valve gear, valvetrain geometry with a custom air-cooled block and heads, crank and camshaft. Kind of 1/4 of a Chev V8.
It was designed for the homebuilt motorcycle market.
I was thinking such a beast might be appropriate for a microcar replica...

Yes, the concept was that by using readily available Chevy parts it would be inexpensive to manufacture and build. I can't remember the name maybe "Supercycle" or something like that. There was lots of hype for quite a long time. I think it was even the springboard for the magazine of the same name. However, the reality of manufactring such an engine made it impractical. I remember seeing the prototype and the constant plea for investors. You would do better to buy real real Harley engine or choose one of a number of vintage V-twins (Indian, *** There was a three wheeled Morgan that was built for quite a number of years. If memory serves me correct it had a *** or BSA twin. Also Harley built a tank prototype in WWII that had two 1000cc V-twin engines in front

You know thers already an after market V4 based on the lil chevy engine aready availible typiclly found in midget racers!!ooo go fast stuff I love it!!!     WB3
