I need help on building my first kit car!

I have no knowledge of mechanics, i do have a big budget but we( my dad and I ) can't seem to find where to even start. we do have a liking of certain cars like the 67 shelby fast back that we would love to do. but are open to other options PLEASE help all information on manufacturers, or parts or anything would be greatly appreciated. thank you.
