Looking at a Classic Roadsters MG TD - what should I be aware of?

Thinking of looking at a VW engine 53 MG TD today. New to the forum, and wondering what I should be especially aware of. My wife likes the car, and I have never had a kit car before. I have some restoration experience, but I'm sure many of you have some good advice for me.
