Hello folks:
I have a kit car with a Buick 231 engine in it. The transmission is definitely a Borg Warner (It is stamped on it), but the part that has the number is worn out.
I am trying to find parts for it. Here are the specs of transmission; does anyone know what model it is so that I can order parts for it.
It is a 5 speed manual Borg Warner transmission
The first gear is on the opposite location to most other transmission (that is it goes in the 2nd gear position of most transmission, that is downward, instead of going upward).
On the place where most transmission shift to the 1st gear, this one will go to the reverse gear.
I believe ait is a non-syncro trani.
I hope you can pin down the exact model of the transmission, so that I can order parts for it.
What grade of transmission oil should I put on this one?
