I have aquired my dad's 1939 Jaguar by Classic Roadsters he built back in 1985. It has a ford V6 2.8l enigine with a 4 speed transmission. One of the wind wing hinges cracked and broke in half. Anyone know if the hinges are interchangable between their kit cars? I've been speeding at least 2 hours a day looking all around the net and have came up empty handed. Any help would be greatly appreciated. If you know anyone with some spare hinges, I'd be very gratefull. Thanks in advance for your help.

That is going be tough to find. I worked at Classic and we had them custom made somewhere in Minnesota. Email me a digital photo of what part is broken, I assume it is Te aluminum half of the Hinge.

Can't remember how I posted the last picture. Here's one of the broke hinge and one good hinge.

Are there any members out there that has a 39' "Duke" Jaguar? If so, I'd like to hear from you. I'm having a tough time finding anyone that might have one of these kits. Any information you'd be willing to share would be great. You can post here, or email me at wtjmwest@yahoo.com. Looking forward to hearing from you.

I have a 39 Jag built by Classic Roadsters on a 1983 Chevette frame with the 4 cylinder chevette engine.  I have the same problem that some others have with a broken window hinge.  I am looking for a hard top for my car.  I have an extra set of side windows and a new top canvas if someone is in the need. My email is lwbyers@aol.com

I am told that Classic Roadsters in ND has been closed for sometime.  I also need one hinge and am trying hard to find one for my same model car as yours.  If you have any luck PLEASE let me know.

Will do. Haven't been successful yet, but I'm still trying. Good to hear that there's some other owners out there. I've taken my side windows off for now. If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer. I try and drive mine as often as I can. Do you have any pictures of your Jag? Challenger09, which company made your Jaguar?

Greetings fellow Jaguar owners. Just want to confirm that Classic Roadsters in Fargo did move several years ago. They were concentrating more on Cobras in the end and when I last heard they are soon to be out of business.

There is a company here in Canada that makes a MG replica and some of their parts (though rediculously expensive) do fit the Duke. (prototyperesearch.com)

Good motoring everyone Smile
