I am having trouble getting used to this Forum, so please forgive duplicate questions.  I am considering getting a Duke but find the VW air cooled Dukes are a lot cheaper and more plentiful than the water cooled ones.  I am leaning toward a water cooled rear wheel drive but would like to hear from a VW equipped Duke owner to hear how he or she likes the VW equipped Duke.  Thanks.   Geoff

Still interested in the assembly manual.  How much you want for it?  Also, if anybody wants to sell soft tops, mine is coming apart at the seams, or has hard top seals or hardware, would be interested in that also.

I'd also be most appreciative for any info leading to the procurement of a totally unscarred, un-dented, non-rusted FRONT BUMPER w/good chrome for the Classic Roadsters' DUKE Jaguar. ___ I don't even happen to be in need of any of the accessories (such as the bumper guards, mounting bolts, etc.) if this would perhaps facilitate a sale. ___ I would however please first need a clear photo of the UNMOUNTED bumper, pictured with a handwritten paper notation of the date that the photo was taken.

Kindly take a moment to e-mail me directly.

Many thanx,
-Gene

I purchased a duke 39 jaguar in 1996, it was built by classic roadsters at their factory in flynt, michigan in 1981. It has a white body, black fenders a black soft top and 1 spare tire mounted on the passengers side fender well. It was built on a ford mustang 2 (pinto) chassies with a 4 cylinder 2.2 liter overhead cam engine, with an automatic transmission. My ex-father in law had the car built and passed away in 1985. After sitting in a garage for over 10 years I restored the car and had it back on the road by 1998. It was a blast to drive as it looks origional and I live in Hershey, Pa. its common to see antique cars on the road here!My front end was completely wiped out by a lady talking on a cell phone who didn't see the red light in 1999.After sitting in a garage for more than 10 years again I've decided to get off my duff and put the car back on the road again! The cars more than 30 years old and has 5025 origional miles on it!Right now its going through a frame off restoration and hopefully be back on the road by this summer!

Just joined the forum as I purchased an unbuilt Classic Roadsters 1939 Jaguar SS100 Duke kit. Purchased from the original family that purchased in 1991. Has most everything there, but is missing the radiator frame/grill. If anyone has a lead on one, please let me know.

Thanks!

Well, I am new to this forum so bear with me.  My husband and I drove to Fargo in 1988 and bought the whole '39 Duke kit.  Due to financial and time constraints by my husband, ignorance by me, it never got built.  We got started well, chasis, brake system, and wheels but that is where it stopped.  I want to sell it because my husband is now disabled physically, and I am disabled mechanically.  I am in San Antonio, Texas and can be contacted at emcdevitt@satx.rr.com if anyone is interested.

I have a 37 or so I am told Kit. My kids bought it for me 2 years ago, and I am the third owner on the unfinished kit. I am also looking for those hinges. If I can come up with a close match I need a complete set of 4. If I can get those I'll send you one of my hinges so you don't have to replace all of yours. Any words of wisdom that you can give me on getting this kit registered ( I live in CT  ) would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
